About the NCHJA
Our Organization
For over 50 years, the NCHJA has been proud to serve and promote the best interests of Sanctioned Show and the exhibitors who participate in them. As the regional body for the hunter and jumper divisions, it’s our mission to create adequate and fair governing rules for competitors and to license judges and stewards who enforce these standards for the common benefit. We also strive to maintain complete and proper records in connection with the sport for the use of its members and to assign dates to all events recognized by the Association.
As part of our outreach and in the interest of furthering the sport, the NCHJA also sponsors educational clinics and forums throughout the year. We continue to promote the art of riding, encouraging horsemanship and the welfare of horses and ponies across the state of North Carolina.
